John's Obituary

John Auletti, of St. Joseph, formerly a resident of New York, died Sunday, November 17, 2002 at Lakeland Continuing Care Center, St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2002, at 8:30am, at St. Bernard?s Catholic Church with Father Larry Kroll officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to the Safe Shelter. John was born in New York, NY, to Frank and Jennie (Maributo) on September 23, 1922. He married Josephine Suo, his wife of 57 years, on May 19, 1945. John resided in New York until the death of his wife on May 28, 2000. He served his country in the US Army during WWII as a Staff Sergeant. Mr. Auletti worked as a Carpenter for most of his life. Survivors include 3 daughters ? Jeanette (Dr. William) Leahey of St. Joseph, Mary (Frank) McGrade of Montgomery, N.Y., Rochell (Ronald) Giacolone of New York, N.Y.; 4 grandchildren ? Kristin Ann Leahey, of Evanston, IL, John Francis Leahey of Holland, MI, Frank McGrade of Montgomery, NY, Bill McGrade of Pennsylvania; sister ? Ida Tomo of Long Island, NY; 3 brothers ? Joe and Andrew Auletti of New York, NY, and Sal Auletti of Florida. Mr. Auletti is preceded by his wife Josephine, his parents, and brother Tony Auletti.
