Connie K. Starbuck, 56, of Bridgman, formerly of Stevensville, died Saturday ? January 25, 2003. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2003, 11:00 AM, at St. Paul?s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stevensville, with Rev. Gerald Schroer and Rev. Ronald Freier officiating. Burial will follow at Lincoln Township Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, January 27, 2003, from 5:00 ? 8:00 PM at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul?s Lutheran Church or to the Bridgman Schools Athletic Department. We invite you to share a memory in the Family Guestbook at www.starks-menchinger.com Connie was born on December 19, 1946 in St. Joseph, MI, to Alvin and Thelma (Draper) Kolberg. She graduated from Lakeshore High School in 1965; she had been a cheerleader at the school. On July 3, 1965 she married Haskel ?Hack? Starbuck at St. John Lutheran Church in Baroda. She was currently a bookkeeper for her husbands business-Hack Sales and Service Matco Tools of Bridgman, and also a secretary for her sons business-Star Graphics of Bridgman. Connie was formerly employed at Stanley Knight of New Troy, and Zenith Corp. of St. Joseph. She loved doing yardwork, pets, music,including her many musical instruments, and had a special fondness for her grandson-Chad. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and a precious friend to many. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband, Hack; her son, Jeffrey (Elaine) Starbuck of Bridgman; grandson, Chad; sister, Sharon (David) Andres of Baroda; step-mother, Carol Kolberg of Bridgman; many nieces and nephews, and brother and sister-in-laws. Connie is preceded in death by her parents.
