Martha's Obituary
Martha Priebe, 97, of Benton Harbor, went to meet her Lord & Savior, Monday, May 06, 2002, at
Lakeland Continuing Care Center-St. Joseph.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Starks & Menchinger Family
Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Paul Naumann officiating. Burial will follow in
Crystal Springs Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 A.M. Thursday.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Matthew?s Lutheran Church. Friends wishing to share a

Mrs. Priebe was born on January 23, 1905 in Canada to William & Matilda (Karger) Schermer. On
October 5, 1922 she married Adolph Priebe in St. Joseph. Martha was a member of St. Matthew?s
Lutheran Church in Benton Harbor.
Mrs. Priebe is survived by two daughters-Evelyn DeMorrow of St. Joseph, Ruth (Ernest) Faultersack
of Benton Harbor; one son-James (Judith) Priebe of St. Joseph; five grandchildren-Larry DeMorrow of
Grand Rapids, Jerry DeMorrow of Stevensville, Michael Faultersack of Bloomfield Hills, Nancy
Hunter of Petersburg, MI, Steven Priebe of Chicago; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister-Edith
Gustine of Benton Harbor. Martha was preceded in death by her husband Adolph in 1959, her
son-in-law-Mike DeMorrow in October of 2000, and by eleven brothers & sisters.
