Katherine Hancher

Katherine Hancher died at Lakeland Continuing Care Center, Berrien Center, Thursday, October 10, 2002. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1pm, Saturday, Oct. 12, at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Burial of ashes will follow in Crystal Springs Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call from 11am – 1pm at the funeral home. Memorials donations may be made to the charity of the donor?s choice. Mrs. Hancher worked as an Inspector for Mich. Fruit Canners and later retired from the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local #7. >p> Mrs. Hancher is survived by 1 son ? LaVern (Carolyn) Malich, of Coloma; 2 daughters ? Carolyn Johnson of South Carolina, and Helen (David) Vincent, of St. Joseph; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 2 sisters ? Helen (Raymond) Conrad of Benton Harbor, and Stephanie Rachich, of Indiana. She is preceded in death by her husband William Hancher in March, 1977.
