Malita's Obituary

Malita J. Kugle, 73, of Stevensville, went home to meet her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 12, 2002 at her home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:30 A.M. Monday at St. Paul?s Lutheran Church, Stevensville, with Rev. Gerald Schroer officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Bluff Cemetery, Stevensville. Friends may call from 2-5 P.M. Sunday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to St. Paul?s Lutheran Church or Hospice at Home. Those wishing to share a memory on line may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Mrs. Kugle was born on March 20, 1929 in Sodus to Gustav & Amolia (Gaul) Pudell. On January 5, 1945 she married Vernon G. Kugle in Sodus. She was employed as a supervisor at Shepherd Products before retiring in 1994 after 20 years. Malita was a member of St. Paul?s Lutheran Church in Stevensville. Malita is survived by her husband Vernon G. Kugle; two sons-Vernon L. (Sue) Kugle of Buchanan, MI; Frederick J. (Sandra) Kugle of Granger, IN; her daughter-Jeannine (Richard) Martin of Stevensville; five grandchildren-Vernon G. (Wanda) Kugle, II; Leslie (Bret) Fencl; Stephanie Kugle; Lisa Martin; Elizabeth Kugle; three great grandchildren-Leah & Craig Kugle; Troy Fencl; one sister-Gladys Brown of Berrien Center; one brother-Arthur (Frances) Pudell of Benton Harbor; and many nieces & nephews. Mrs. Kugle was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers-Edwin, William, & Richard Pudell; and three sisters-Lillian Harris, Eleanor Froehlich & Mabel Garlanger.
