Charles C. Hill

CHARLES HILL, JR., 56, of St. Joseph, Michigan died Friday, April 5, 2002, at his home. Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, April 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, where friends may call on Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery with military rites. Memorials may be made to the Hill family for the trust fund of Paighton Hill, granddaughter. MR. HILL is survived by his parents, Charles and Edith (Pooch) Hill of Stevensville; a daughter, Amy Hill of Kalamazoo; one son, Joseph Hill of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina; and one granddaughter, Paighton Hill; a sister, Joyce (August) Schmidt of Sawyer and two brothers, Robert Hill of Stevensville and Donald Hill of Bridgman. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Hauch in 1991. MR. HILL was a veteran of Vietnam. He was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan and was a lifetime resident. He graduated from Lakeshore High School in 1965 and loved hunting, fishing, stock car racing and especially talking to people.
