Lillian's Obituary

Lillian Margaret (Pudell) Harris, 92, of Sodus, MI, went home to meet her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 30, 2002 at her home. A Christian Burial Service will be held on Thursday, 10:00AM, September 5, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Sodus, MI, with Rev. Robert Duehlmeyer officiating. Burial will follow at Crystal Springs Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Sodus. Friends wishing to sign the guestbook on line may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Lillian was born to Gustav and Amolia (Gaul) Pudell at their home in Sodus, MI on February 24, 1910. She later married Howard Lester Harris, he preceded her in death in 1977. Lillian was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, serving in several capacities – Sunday school teacher, vacation bible school and ladies aid. She also enjoyed participation on the Whirlpool Women’s Softball Team. Lillian is survived by two daughters, Sandra (Gary) Greenfield of Wauwatosa, WI and Linda (David) Hoover of West Allis, WI; brother, Arthur (Fran) Pudell of Benton Harbor; sisters, Gladys Brown of Berrien Center and Malita (Vern) Kugel of Stevensville; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 sons-James and John Harris, 3 brothers-Richard, Edwin and William, and 2 sisters-Eleanor Froehlich and Mabel Garlanger.
