Adeline's Obituary

Adeline H. (Reck) Hauch, 87, of St. Joseph, went to her heavenly home Friday, December 21, 2001 from Lakeland Continuing Care Center where she resided. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church-Benton Harbor. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 PM Tuesday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, and from 10-11 AM Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or School. Mrs. Hauch was born on July 20, 1914 in St. Joseph to Herman & Bertha (Warmbein) Reck. She attended Trinity Lutheran School in St. Joseph and graduated from St. Joseph High School. She was employed at Cooper-Wells in St. Joseph and V-M Corp. in Benton Harbor. On August 15, 1936, she married Victor A. Hauch in St. Joseph. Adeline loved and enjoyed her family and her church family. Her smile would always brighten the whole room. Mrs. Hauch is survived by her daughter-Adele (William) Bluschke of St. Joseph, her son-Dennis (Shirley) Hauch of Lake Jackson, TX, 6 grandchildren-Lisa (Rev. James) Wright, Scott (Christine) Bluschke, Heidi Tripanier, Adam Hauch, Stacy (Victor) Leeber, Amy Hauch; 6 great-granchildren; and a sister-in-law-Viola Bomke of Benton Harbor. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Victor on August 5, 1990, an infant son Carl in 1949, a sister Ella (Reck) Markwald and a brother William Reck.
