Minnie's Obituary

Minnie M. Mack, 99 formerly of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2002 at Jordan?s Nursing Home in Bridgman where she resided. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Noon Saturday at Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ, 3001 Veronica Dr., St. Joseph. Graveside Services will be held at 9:30 A.M. Monday at Crystal Springs Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 P.M. at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ or Jordan?s Nursing Home Activity Fund. Those wishing to share a memory on line may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Mrs. Mack was born on July 24, 1903 in Bainbridge Township to Joseph & Amelia (Kaiser) Sieber. She was employed for many years at Remington Rand Co.; and later as a nurse?s aid at Carson?s Nursing Home in Benton Harbor. She was a member of Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ in St. Joseph. Minnie is survived by three grandchildren-Charles Young of Traverse City, MI; Rick (Phyllis) Young of Benton Harbor; Cathy (Dan) Reifschneider of Stevensville; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two husbands-Harvey Ruse in 1953 and Olin Mack in 1995; an infant son-Charles Schmigle in 1923; a daughter-Phyllis Young in 1995; and by nine brothers & sisters.
