Elizabeth L. Roth

Elizabeth L. Roth, 84, of Stevensville, died Wednesday, August 14, 2002 at her home with her loving family surrounding her, after a short illness with acute leukemia. Friends may call on Sunday, August 18, from 2:00 till 5:00PM, at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, August 19, at 11:00AM, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Stevensville, MI. Burial will follow at Lincoln Township Cemetery, Stevensville. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Hospice. She married Herbert Roth on March 3, 1934 in South Bend, IN. Her husband and Mrs. Roth owned and operated Herbs Auto Parts in Stevensville. Elizabeth was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She loved flowers and enjoyed gardening. She is survived by a daughter, Darlene (Heinz) Damaske of Stevensville; a son, James (Opal) Roth of Sawyer; grandchildren, Allen (Marilee) Roth, Jeffery Roth, Bret Damaske, Doreen (Rev. David) Zahn; great grandchildren, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Robert, Rebecca and Michael Roth, Nicholle and Danielle Zahn. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Herbert, and a sister Dorothy Natzke.
