Lucille's Obituary

Lucy Domke, 71, of St. Joseph, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, July 30, 2002. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at St. Paul?s Lutheran Church, Stevensville with Rev. Gerald Schroer officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Run Cemetery, Scottdale. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 P.M. at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to St. Paul?s Lutheran Church of which she was a member or Hospice at Home. Those wishing to share a memory on line may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Lucy was born on January 22, 1931 in St. Joseph to Roy & Edna (Ott) Lucker. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1948. On June 6, 1953 she married Chester Domke in Stevensville. She was employed for many years at V-M Corporation in Benton Harbor and was an avid bingo player. Mrs. Domke is survived by two daughters-Georgiann Clayton of Huntsville, TX; Suzanne Dorgelo of Greensville, SC; her son-Barry Domke of St. Joseph; four grandchildren-Charlie, Kenneth, Timothy, & Jennifer; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters-Luella (Richard) Fausak of Bridgman; Leola (Raymond) Domke of Sodus; Kathy (Mike) Holaday of Stevensville; three brothers-Roy Lucker of Lorida, FL; Alvin (Ruth) Lucker of St. Joseph; Jerry (Alice) Lucker of Sebring, FL; a sister-in-law-Helen (Charles) Braford of Cohasset, MN; many nieces, nephews & cousins; and a special friend-Arnold Nitz of Baroda. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband-Chet on September 19, 1993; her son Bill Domke on June 27, 1977; and a sister LaVern Leng on June 27, 1987.
