Betty A. Reynolds

?Betty? Elizabeth (Claeys) Reynolds, of St. Joseph, passed away on February 11, 2002, at Lakeland Hospital after a short illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joseph. Officiating the service will be Father Robert Johansen. Visitation will be from 4:00 ? 8:00 Pm Thursday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Berrien County Cancer Services 7301 Red Arrow Hwy, Stevensville Michigan 49127, in honor and memory of family members. Betty was born on November 11, 1922 to Henry and Celina Claeys of Benton Harbor, Michigan, and has lived her entire life in the St. Joseph/Benton Harbor area. Betty was an artist. On July 18, 1942, she married Daniel P. Reynolds, who preceded her in his death in 1982. Surviving her are four children, Michael Reynolds and wife Carol from West Yarmouth, Massachusetts; Patrick Reynolds and his wife Heather of St. Vincent and the Grenadines; Daniel Reynolds of Brooklyn, New York, and her daughter Shelly Reynolds and her husband, Michael Adams of St. Joseph. Her dearest friend and companion, Pete Yanchich, was also at her side at the time of her passing. He was a blessed gift to Betty and to her family. Betty also has three grandchildren; Adam Patrick Reynolds, from St. Joseph, Mark Alan Reynolds, from Stevensville, and her beautiful granddaughter Danielle Celina Reynolds from St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Betty is survived by her siblings; Mary Claeys (Ziebarth ?Ed?) Marriott, of St. Joseph, Margaret Claeys Alti of Virginia Beach and John ?Jack? Claeys of Watervliet. Betty?s sister Frances Payne and brother Robert ?Bob? Claeys preceded her in death.
