Edmund's Obituary
Edmund Ratz, 74, Loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather,
of Benton Harbor, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2001
at Lakeland Hospital-St. Joseph. Funeral Services will be
held at 10:00 AM Friday at Starks & Menchinger Family
Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Vicar
Michael Carr of St. Matthew?s Lutheran Church officiating.
Burial will follow in Hickory Bluff Cemetery-Stevennsville.
Friends may call from 5-7 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to St. Matthew?s Lutheran Church of
which he was a member.
Mr. Ratz was born in Poland on December 14, 1927 to Karl &
Emilia Ratz. On January 27, 1951 he married the former
Ursula Gampert in Germany. He served his country during
WWII. Ed was employed by Paramont Die Casting in
Stevensville before retiring in 1986 after 34 years.
Mr. Ratz is survived by his wife Ursula of Benton Harbor, a
son Harry Ratz of Stevensville, a grandson Tyler Ratz, two
sisters-Hilda Pfeiffer of Stevensville, Hanna (Wilhelm) Kaune
of Germany, and many nieces and nephews.
