Emma's Obituary
Emma Zielke, 95 of St. Joseph, went to be with her Lord & Savior on Sunday May 5, 2002 at
Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday at
Oakridge Baptist Church, St. Joseph with Rev. Marlo Fritzke officiating. Burial will follow in
Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 6-8 P.M. at Starks & Menchinger Family
Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to Oakridge Baptist Church

Mrs. Zielke was born on August 3, 1906 in Germany to Friedrich & Emilie (Brown) Drews. On June
12, 1925 she married Friedrich Zielke in Germany. Emma was a member of Oakridge Baptist Church.
Mrs. Zielke is survived by three sons-Siegfried (Lilli) Zielke of St. Joseph, Dietbert (Adina) Zielke of
Grand Rapids, Klaus (Susann) Zielke of St. Joseph; a daughter-in-law-Olga Zielke of New Troy, MI;
fifteen grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; and a brother-Fred Drews of Dearborn, MI. Emma was
preceded in death by her husband Friedrich on October 25, 1988, her son Karl Zielke on April 16,
1993, her daughter Christel Zielke on November 7, 1966, by a great grandson Paul Bergman, and a
great-great granddaughter Hailey Zielke.
