Herbert's Obituary
Herbert Marks, 77, of St. Joseph, died Saturday, April 27,
2002 at Orchard Grove Extended Care Centre.
Friends may call from 6:00 ? 8:00 p.m. Monday, at Starks &
Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd. A
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday at the funeral home. Following the services the burial
will be at Riverview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to
the St. Joseph ? Lincoln Sr. Center or the charity of your

Herbert was born on September 16, 1924, in St. Joseph,
Michigan to Gustav & Juliana (Stransky) Marks. He served in
the Army of the United States from May 24, 1945 to May 25,
1946. He worked at Whirlpool from 1949 until he retired in
1989. His favorite pass time were hunting, fishing and talking
with people.
Survivors include a special friend Helen Wildeman of St.
Joseph, nieces & nephews, several great nieces and nephews,
and sister-in-law Louise Mark of Watervliet, Michigan.
Three brothers – August Marks, Fred Marks, and Adolph
Marks, nephew Fred Marks, and niece Arlene Konos
preceded him in death.
