Louise's Obituary
Louise M. Fritz, 94, of St. Joseph, went to meet her Lord &
Savior Thursday, May 30 2002 at Jordan?s Nursing Home in
Bridgman. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00
PM Monday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home,
2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Jon Bendewald
officiating. Entombment will follow at North Shore Memory
Gardens. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the
funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American
Cancer Society-Berrien County Relay for Life.
Mrs. Fritz was born on August 16, 1907 in Bay City,
Michigan to Paul & Augusta (Rahde) Steingraeber. On
November 26, 1936 she married Carl A. Fritz. She was the
Secretary and Treasurer for the Fritz & McKinney Agency in
Stevensville. Louise was a member of Trinity Lutheran
Church in St. Joseph and a member of the Ladies Aid for over
50 years. She was a former member of the Women?s
Missionary League, the Valpo Guild and the Business &
Professional Women?s Association.
Mrs. Fritz is survived by her son-Ronald (Marion) Fritz of St.
Joseph; two grandchildren-Brian (Lauri) Fritz and Wendy
(Robin) Willis; and her brother-Carl (Mary Jane) Steingraeber
of Swartz Creek, MI. She was preceded in death by her
husband Carl on December 7, 1988, her parents, and a sister
Doris Asman.
