Edward's Obituary

Edward Wolff 95, died peacefully at home, in St. Joseph, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, Dec. 25th. Edward?s funeral services will be held at Starks & Menchinger Funeral Home from 11:30 am until the funeral service at 1:00pm. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice at Home, P.O. Box 297, Stevensville, MI 49127 or Eighth Street Mennonite Church, 602 S. 8th Street, Goshen, IN 46526. Edward was born August 27, 1906 to Friedrich and Regina (Haugh) in a German community in Poland. He was the youngest of 6 children, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. On October 10, 1936 he married Lydia Schroeder, who preceded him in death in December 26, 2000. He and his family, wife Lydia and 4 children, came to the United States in 1952 from Germany and resided in Goshen, Indiana. The youngest daughter, Rita, was born in Goshen. In 1998 they moved to St. Joseph. Edward retired in 1972 from Weyerhaeuser as a toolmaker and enjoyed his retirement with visiting his children, travels, gardening, watching boxing and occasional dancing. His five children survive Ed. Daughter, Edith (Bruno) Nickel, son, Eugene (Janet) Edward Wolff, of St. Joseph, daughter Christine (Larry) Clodfelter, daughter Doris (Curt) Stucky of Syracuse, IN, daughter Rita (Ron) Cox of Lafayette, IN; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews all in Germany.
