Ricky Charles Layton

Ricky Charles Layton, 48, of St. Joseph, MI passed away at his home. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 PM Friday, September 12, 2008 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd; St. Joseph, MI with Rev. Harold Davis officiating. Friends may call before the service, Friday from 5:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the family to offset funeral expenses. Ricky graduated from Bridgman High School. He was a machinist with Bearing Technologies in Benton Harbor. He was a member of the Teamsters. Ricky loved fishing, boating, gardening and his family. Ricky is survived by his son, Johnathon Layton of Berrien Springs, MI; mother, Judy Overton of Stevensville; grand daughter, Maya Layton; Sisters, Cheryl (Charles) Brault of Stevensville, MI, Renee (Randy) Phillips of Niles, MI, Diane Layton of Stevensville, MI. He is preceded in death by his father James Layton in December 2001; grandmother, Francis in 2003 and grandfather, Harry in 1991.
