Josephine Helmker, 99, formerly of St. Joseph,died Saturday February 24, 2002 at her home at
Woodland Terrace in Bridgman.
A celebration of Life Services will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday at Starks & Menchinger Family
Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 Wednesday at the
funeral home. Memorials may be made to First Church of God Missionary Fund.
She was born on May 7, 1902 to Claud & Phebe (Huntoon) Quimby in Lansing Michigan. She
Married Milburn Helmker on December 25, 1923 in Cadillac, MI who has preceded her in death.
Survived by a son Claude Helmker of St. Joseph; a daughter Barbara (Lowell) Malliett of Bourbonais
IL; Seven Grandchildren, fourteen Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild.
