Richard's Obituary
Richard’s life began on May 23, 1920 in Dowagiac, MI, the son of John and Stefenia E (Wichrowski) Baranoski. He was united in marriage to Mildred Nancy Brooks on January 11, 1944 in Louisiana. Richard was a service station dealer for Sunoco in Dowagiac for many years. He was a parishioner at Holy Maternity of Mary Catholic Church in Dowagiac and enjoyed gardening and working outdoors. He also served his country in the United States Army. His loving family includes two sons, Joseph of Dowagiac and Richard Jr. of Harlan, Kentucky. Also a grandson, Richard J. Baranoski of Dowagiac. His wife Mildred preceded him in death in December of 2011. Richard passed away at Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital on Saturday, March 31, 2012. His family will receive friends on Thursday, April 5 from 10-10:45.a.m. at Yazel & Clark Chapel, 405 Center St., Dowagiac, MI 49047 A graveside service will be led by Father Kevin Covert at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery, Dowagiac.
