James's Obituary
James life began on January 31, 1935 in South Bend, the son of Dewey E. and Catherine B. (Ehman) Dye. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Weber at Christ the King Catholic Church in South Bend. He was a tool and die maker at Adams Engineering. James was a parishioner of Holy Maternity of Mary Catholic Church and a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul. He was a member of the NRA, and enjoyed gun and craft shows. James is survived by his wife Marilyn Dye of Dowagiac, children Eileen (Jerry) Toney of Cassopolis, Karen (Dale) Jasper of St. Joseph, Patricia (Daniel) Mather of Dowagiac, Shirley Larson of Dowagiac, James G. Dye of Texas, and Helen Hartsell of Dowagiac, 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 1 sister Joann (Thomas) Frank of South Bend, and 1 brother Thomas (Christine) Dye of Indianapolis, IN, and his brother in law William T. Weber of South Bend. Special thanks to James dear friends at Senior Nursing and Hospice at Home. James passed away on Thursday March 29, 2012 at his home. His family will gather with friends on Tuesday from 9-11 a.m. at Holy Maternity of Mary Catholic Church where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. led by Father Kevin Covert. He will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger. Yazel & Clark Chapel is serving the family.
