Betty Jane Blanton

Betty’s life began on August 25, 1922 in Dowagiac, MI. the daughter of Jesse and Flossie (Walden) Archer. She graduated from Dowagiac Central High in 1941, after graduation she moved to Chicago, IL where she married Colecta E. Blanton in 1950. In 1984 she retired as a bond/security clerk from Central Illinois National Bank of Chicago. In November of the same year she returned to Dowagiac with her husband. Betty is survived by a sister Patty Jordan of Springfield, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband Colecta E. Blanton in 1994 and a sister Marjorie Brown in 2007. Betty passed away on Monday January 31, 2012 at Cass County Medical Facility. Her family will gather with friends on Friday February 3, 2012 from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M at Yazel & Clark Chapel where her service will be held at 2:00 PM on.
