Beverly L Stoops

Beverly L. Stoops of Dowagiac, MI passed away on Wednesday January 11, 2012 in Kalamazoo at Borgess Medical Center. Beverly was born June 9, 1927 in South Bend IN., at Epworth Hospital (now Memorial). On November 13, 1948 in Coalmont, IN at the Baptist church she married Max E. Stoops, who passed away June 18, 2004. Beverly and Max made their home in South Bend, IN. until July of 1965 when they moved to Dowagiac, MI. She was employed with the Dowagiac Police Dept. for 22 years, retiring in June of 1989. She leaves to cherish her memory 2 daughters Sandie(Ron) Myers of Tiffin OH., Beverly (Jack) Brown of Dowagiac, 1 son John(Faye) Buscoe of Granger, IN. 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, a sister Alice Borsody of South Bend, IN, a brother Jack (Evelyn) Cato of Mishiwaka, IN. and many extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a stepson, a grandson, 4 sisters, Rose Cato, Ilba Hagedorn, Margreat Franklin, and Lucille Gacki. Beverly’s family and friends will gather at Yazel and Clark Chapel in Dowagiac on Monday January 16th from 5-8, her funeral service will also be held at Yazel and Clark on Tuesday January 17th at 11:00 A.M.
