Donna Mae Patzer

Donna Mae (Hodges) Patzer was born October 29th, 1934 in Dowagiac MI,the daughter of Elmer and Mildred(Burney) Hodges. Donna was united in marriage to Alfred Patzer on June 19,1954 in Dowagiac MI., where they made their home She worked as an accountant for Seidman & Seidman for 17 years. Donna enjoyed making crafts with her husband, wintering in Naples Florida, playing golf and bowling in her younger years. The most important part of her life was her family; she especially loved the time spent with them around the pool. Her children called her the most passionate and loving wife, mother and grandmother that ever lived. Her loving family includes her husband Alfred, a son Kirk(Joni) Patzer of Dowagiac, daughter Krin(Bob) Bickel of Cassopolis; grandchildren Amy(Andy) Hackett and Eric Patzer of Dowagiac, a sister Marilyn VanDerVeen of Florida, and a brother Weldon Hodges of Grand Rapids, MI. Donna was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Leona Townsend. Her family will gather with friends on Thursday January 5th from 3-5 PM at Yazel and Clark Chapel where her funeral service will be held at 5 P.M on Thursday. Memorial contributions in her name can be directed to Hospice Care of SW Michigan or to the First Missionary Church in Niles, MI.
