Wyndell's Obituary
The life of Wyndell Harold Macon, 91, (Mr. Wyndell) began on June 22, 1920 in Macon, MS. He was the second born to Robert and Vera (Hunter) Macon. Mr. Wyndell graduated from Noxabee Industrial High School in Macon, a school founded by his grandfather, Samuel L. Hunter. He went on to be united in Holy Matrimony to Mollie Mae Matthews on July 28, 1942 in Macon. They were the parents of 15 children. He retired in 1982 from Clark Equipment Company in Buchanan, MI. Mr. Wyndell was a lover of people and service to the community as a Community Cab, which was his life’s passion until the day he was stricken by a stroke while giving a person a ride to a clinic. He loved his family, his truck and listening to the Blue’s. Mr. Wyndell leaves to cherish his memory Helen (Joseph) Jackson of Dowagiac, Wyndell (Laurel) Macon of Battle Creek, Minnie Warren of Dowagiac, Christopher (Charlotte) Macon of Grand Rapids, MI, Tewannah (Rodney) Johnson of Silverdale, WA, Vera Cole of Cincinnati, David (Natayo) Macon of Atlanta and Marie (Willie) Brown of Buchanan. He also leaves 27 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. Wyndell is preceded by his parents, his wife Mollie in 2002, seven siblings and seven children. His family will gather with friends on Monday from 12-1 p.m. at Yazel & Clark Chapel where his funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. led by Pastor Tracey Hatcher. He will be laid to rest in Mission Hills Cemetery, Niles. Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to the Timbers of Cass County Activity Fund.
