Mildred's Obituary
Mildred’s life began on October 4, 1918 in Ruston, LA, the daughter of Joseph J. and Rilla (Baty) Brooks. She was united in marriage to Richard Baranoski and enjoyed 67 years of marriage. Mildred was a parishioner at Holy Maternity of Mary Catholic Church and a homemaker. Her loving family includes her husband Richard Baranoski of Dowagiac, sons Joseph Baranoski of Dowagiac and Richard Baranoski of Harlan, KY, a grandson Richard Baranoski Jr. and half sister Helen Stevens of Texas. Mildred passed away on Thursday December 1, 2011 at Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital. She is preceded in death by a sister. Her family will gather with friends on Monday from 1-2 p.m. at Yazel & Clark Chapel where her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. led by Father Kevin Covert. She will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery, Dowagiac. Memorials in her name may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
