Ella's Obituary
Ella’s life began on October 17, 1951 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Albert and Emma (Coleman) Powell.She was employed as a bank teller at Continental Bank in Chicago for 25 years. Ella served her country in the Illinois National Guard. Her loving family includes her children Shawn Johnson of Dowagiac, Tony Johnson of Illinois, Jerome Johnson of Denver, CO and Shanell Johnson of Dowagiac, ten grandchildren and five step grandchildren. Ella passed away at her home on Wednesday September 28th. She is preceded in death by her parents. Her family will gather with friends on Saturday October 8th from 10-11 a.m. at Yazel & Clark Chapel where a service will be held at 11 a.m. led by Pastor Sammy Fowlkes.
