Homer's Obituary
Homer’s life began on April 6, 1928 in McClelland, Arkansas, the son of John Lester and Kate (Varble) Pease. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. Homer was united in marriage to Shirley Sue Springsteen on June 8, 1951 in Dowagiac. Homer was employed by Bendix Company in South Bend. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 933, Elk’s Lodge 889 and a life member of the Dowagiac Conservation Club. He is survived by a sister Muriel (Norbert) Swierz of Palm Harbor, FL, brothers John (Marie) Pease of Niles, James Pease of Dowagiac, Dudley (Madelyn) Pease of Baldwin and a half brother Michael ( Diane) Pease of Niles, and several nieces and nephews. Homer passed away on Friday September 2, 2011 at West Woods of Niles. He is preceded in death by his wife Sue in 2010, sisters Louise Wanko, and Verlene Pease and brothers Ray and Paul Pease. His family will gather with friends on Friday from 10-11 a.m. at Yazel & Clark Chapel where his funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday led by Pastor John Kasper.
