Daniel's Obituary

Dan's life began on December 16, 1939 in North Port, MI, the son of Michael and Agnes (McSauby) Rapp. He was united in marriage to the former Margaret Augusta on January 14, 1967 at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Sister Lakes. Dan was a tool and die maker for Rudy Manufacturing for 29 years and worked for several other shops in the area. He was the past chairman of the Pokagon Band of the Potawatomi Indians. Dan also served as vice-chairman and secretary of the Pokagon Band. He organized the annual Oshke-Kno-Kewéwen Pow Wow. Dan enjoyed bowling and played in three different leagues. His loving family includes his wife Margaret Rapp of Dowagiac, his daughter Christine (Gary) Morseau of South Bend, grandchildren Gary Morseau II, Steffan and Taylor Morseau and Danielle Rapp, all of South Bend, a sister Cindy Rapp of Berrien Springs and a brother Michael Rapp of Hartford. Dan passed away at his home on Tuesday August 2, 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Sam Rapp. His family will gather with friends on Friday from 5-8 p.m. at Yazel & Clark Chapel where his funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. He will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart of Mary (Silver Creek) Cemetery following the service.
