Keith Ely

Keith's life began on September 5, 1964 in Benton Harbor, the son of Richard D. and Anna S. ( DeMay) Ely. He was united in marriage to the former Ruth Abram on September 16, 1997 in Cassopolis. Keith was employed by Specialite as a door assembler. He loved spending time with his wife Ruth and their Rottweiler “Kaiser”. They enjoyed nature walks, playing with the dog, and spending time with the grandchildren. His loving family includes his wife Ruth of Sister Lakes, his parents Richard and Anna Ely of Sister Lakes, his children Amber (Jimmy Ganz) Ely of Massachusetts, and Joshua (Julie) Ely of Orlando, his grandchildren Aaryn Christenson, Kalyn Ely, Logan Ely and Moriah Ely, his brothers Phillip Ely of Sister Lakes, Erik (Renee) Ely of Irmo, SC, and nieces and nephews Leyna Ely, Karianne Ely, Seth Ely, Luke Ely, and Micah Ely. Keith passed away on Sunday July 31, 2011 in Niles. His family will gather with friends on Thursday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Yazel & Clark Chapel.
