Anthony Joseph Scaccia

Anthony's life began on June 13, 1953 in Chicago, the son of Sam and Phyllis Scaccia. He was united in marriage to the former Nancy Johnson on August 4, 1973 in Chicago. Anthony was the owner of Final Finishing in Holland, MI. He was a member of the Dowagiac Conservation Club. Anthony was a generous and giving man. He did so much for so many people, working on every friend's home projects and being there for anyone he could help. He was a faithful fan of the Chicago Bears. He loved driving his BMW Z4 and was a motorcycle enthusiast. Anthony and his good friend Gary restored his 1948 Harley Davidson Pan Head over the winter and he was looking forward to hitting the open road on his restored classic. His loving family includes his wife Nancy Scaccia of Sister Lakes, his mother Phyllis Scaccia of Paw Paw, his children Anthony (Cordalya) Scaccia of Dowagiac, Rebecca ( Nathan Filley) Scaccia of Kalamazoo, sisters Pam (Mike) Bain of Paw Paw, and Lori ( Tom) Black of Paw Paw, brothers Michael (Carmella) Scaccia of Watervliet and Jim (Sharon) Scaccia of St. Joseph, nieces and nephews Pete (Chrissy) Scaccia of Lansing, Tom Scaccia of Watervliet, Jimmy ( Jennifer) Scaccia of Stevensville, Mark ( Kasey) Scaccia of St. Joseph, Beth Scaccia of San Francisco, Eric Bain of Kalamazoo, Kevin Bain of Paw Paw, Tyler Black of Paw Paw and Morgan ( Chris) Foote of San Diego. Anthony passed away on Tuesday July 12, 2011 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. He was preceded in death by his father Sam Scaccia. His family will gather with friends on Friday from 6-9 p.m. at Yazel & Clark Chapel where Deacon Frank Wesolowski will lead a scripture service at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church led by Father Kevin Covert.
