Kenneth's Obituary

Kenneth's life began on February 12, 1921 in Glenlord, MI, the son of Samuel C. and Lillie L. (Mak) Wenger. He was a graduate of Baroda High School. Kenneth was united in marriage to the former Betty L. Mott, on August 28, 1954 in Indiana. He was a tool and die maker and owner of Planet Tool and Engineering in Dowagiac. Kenneth was a member of the Dowagiac Moose Lodge and assisted the North Brevard Sharing Center in Melbourne, FL. with their food programs for the homeless. He loved to golf, fish and work cross word puzzles. Kenneth was also an excellent carpenter. He is survived by his children Bonnie (Phil) Miller of Sawyer, Kathy (Ted) Hoekstra of Dowagiac and Sherri Wenger of Dowagiac, sister in law Eunice Bell of Dowagiac, 21 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren and one brother Irvine Wenger of Panama City, FL. Kenneth passed away on Monday July 4, 2011 at the Cass County Medical Care Facility. He is preceded in death by his wife, children Kenneth J. Wenger, Richard Bell, Robert Wenger, David Wenger, and Kevin Wenger. His family will gather with friends on Thursday from 11 -1 p.m. at Yazel & Clark Chapel where his funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. led by Pastor Brian Hall of the Decatur 1st Presbyterian Church. He will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to Cass County Cancer Services.
