Dale's Obituary
Longtime Dowagiac resident Dale Mead passed away on Wednesday June 8, 2011 at Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital following a sudden illness. His life began on June 22, 1951 in Niles, the son of Lyle G. Mead, Sr. and Vernus (Corning) Mead. He had been employed by Sealed Power (SPX) in Dowagiac. Dale loved to travel and he loved his family, especially children. His loving family includes his sister Karen (Kelly) Rose of Bristol, IN, his brother Lyle “Junior†Mead of Dowagiac, nephews Jason Mead of Dowagiac and Broc Thielmann of Edwardsburg and his companion Jean Diamond of Dowagiac. Dale is preceded in death by his parents. His family will gather with friends on Monday from 4-6 p.m. at Yazel & Clark Chapel where his funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. He will be laid to rest in Mission Hills Cemetery, Niles.
