Jerry Lee Bloom

Jerry Bloom Sr. died unexpectedly May 31, 2011 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. Jerry was born March 14, 1936 in St. Joseph Co. the son of Kenneth and Vivian (French) Bloom. Jerry worked as a supervisor at M-DOT and retired after 27 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and tending to his amazing garden. He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Sandra Kay, one brother, Steven York and his first wife, Esther. On April 5, 1990 he was united in marriage with Kay (Goodrich) Bloom who survives. Also surviving are 2 children; Jerry Lee Bloom, Jr. of Florida, Les (Wanda) Bloom of Constantine, 2 step-children; Scott (Shawnee) Owen of Buchanan, Terri Jo Bundy of Dowagiac, 2 grandchildren; Zachary and Mathew Bloom, 4 step-grandchildren; Rhonda, Michaela, Tyler, Bennie, 2 brothers; John (Marsha) Bloom, Rodney (Joan)Bloom, 3 sisters; Karen (Ed) Smallcomb, Suzie (Larry) King and Debbie York. Family and friends will be received Friday from 11-1pm at funeral home where a service to honor his life will be held at 1pm. Interment Riverside Cemetery.
