Martha Sue Casey

Martha's life began on December 17, 1933 in Octa, MO, the daughter of Harry and Ruth Lee (Oliver) Williams. She was united in marriage to Elzie Casey on June 25, 1954 in Indiana. Martha was the founder of Sandy Acre Farm and Feed Store in Dowagiac. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Martha loved her customers/friends at the feed store. She cared deeply for everyone and was always a hard worker. She was a member of Victory Tabernacle in Dowagiac and her faithfulness and prayers will be deeply missed by her church family. Her loving family includes her husband Elzie Casey of Dowagiac, her son Duane (Pam) Casey of Dowagiac, grandchildren Landon (Bobbi) Casey of Bellevue, MI and Carrie (Dan) Sandberg of Dowagiac, and great grandchildren Collen Casey, Austin Sandberg, Sara Sandberg and Adam Sandberg and several nieces and nephews. Martha passed away on Saturday May 28, 2011 at Lakeland Specialty Care Hospital in Berrien Center. She is preceded in death by a sister Sara Smith, and brothers Edward and Jerry Williams. Her family will gather with friends on Wednesday from 11a.m. -1 p.m. at Victory Tabernacle where her funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday led by Pastor Jerry Jackson. She will be laid to rest in Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to Victory Tabernacle. Yazel & Clark Chapel is serving the family.
