Mary Ann Ball

Mary ‘s life began on July 13, 1922 in Lansing, MI, the daughter of Judge Carl D. and Ruth (Hendryx) Mosier. She was united in marriage to Carson A. Ball on September 21, 1944 at the Federated Church in Dowagiac. Mary was a lifelong resident of Dowagiac and had worked and volunteered for Lee Memorial Hospital, Harvey's and CVS. She was a member of the Dowagiac Garden Club. Most of all, she enjoyed being a homemaker and mother to her children. Her family includes three sons Scott (Kim) Ball of Spring Lake, MI, Carl (Janet) Ball of Dowagiac, and Jeff (Nancy) Ball of Cassopolis, three daughters Jane Keller of Dowagiac, Martha (Dale ) Allen of Lansing, and Joan Seiber of Cassopolis, 17 grandchildren 18 great grandchildren and her sister Martha Burkett of Texas. Mary passed away on Tuesday May 24, 2011 at Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter Kathryn Knopf, and four brothers James, John, David and Tom Mosier. Her family will gather with friends on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at Yazel & Clark Chapel. She will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery at a later date.
