Harold W West

Harold's life began on December 19, 1935 in Berrien Springs, MI, the son of Clarence and Pearl L. (Morrison-Dinges) West. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Harold was employed by the Jessup Door Company for many years. He was united in marriage to Sharon West on October 12, 1954, and she preceded him in death on June 9, 2000 and then he married the former Aileen Woods on January 17, 2004 in Dowagiac. Harold loved being outdoors and was a member of the Twin Lakes Volunteer Fire Department for several years. He enjoyed playing cards, visiting the casinos and putting puzzles together with the family. His loving family includes his wife Aileen West of Dowagiac, children Jackie Dazell of Dowagiac, Sherrie (Gary ) Sutfin of Buchanan, Robert (Robin) West of Dowagiac, Eddie (Tammy) West of Dowagiac, Ricky West of Buchanan, Don (Vera) West of Decatur, stepchildren Bob (Debbie) Wallace of Dowagiac, Susie Schuster of Kalamazoo, Pat (Kathy) Eichel of Dowagiac, Paula Eichel of Dowagiac and Rhonda Eichel of Elkhart, several grandchildren, several great grandchildren, sisters Shirley (Robert) Lamb of Dowagiac, Arlene (Gary) Ceroky of North Dakota, and Betty (Jerry) Myers of Alabama, and brothers John (Linda) West of Missouri and Herbert (Harriett) West of Dowagiac. Harold passed away on Friday May 6, 2011 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. He is preceded in death by his wife Sharon West, son David West, and brothers Walter and Ben West.
