Curt Allison Whitworth

Curt's life began on January 5, 1954 in Palmetto, FL, the son of T.A. and Freda (Dixon) Whitworth. He had been employed by Ameriwood Industries and Quality Plastics. Curt was a big kid at heart. He enjoyed the kids in his family. Curt collected toys and science fiction movies and loved to listen to Elvis. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and cutting wood. His loving family includes his father T. A. Whitworth of Decatur, sisters Phoebe Dale of Decatur, and Judith Werer of Dowagiac, brothers Bryan and Damion Whitworth of Decatur, nieces Shellean Grissom, Ivy Smith and Elesha Valade, and nephews Logan Werer, Blake Werer, Fred Dale, Jr, and Brandon Grissom. Curt passed away on Sunday April 17, 2011 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. He is preceded in death by his mother Freda Whitworth. His family will gather with friends on Thursday from 12- 1 p.m. at Yazel & Clark Chapel where his funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. led by Pastor John Kasper.
