Rodney's Obituary

Rodney's life began on Feb. 6, 1933, in Elkhart, Ind., the son of George V. and Ruth (Williams) Bale.He was united in marriage to the former Rosalind Chirila on Oct. 7, 1961, in South Bend, Ind.He was employed at Ameriwood Industries in Dowagiac.Rodney enjoyed fishing and Notre Dame sports, however, his greatest joy was his family, which includes: his wife, Rosalind of Dowagiac; children, Lori (Richie) Frame of Elkhart, Mindy (Dan) Taylor of Billings, Montana, Rodney Bale Jr. of Dowagiac, Kelly Bale of Dowagiac, Tracey Bale of Dowagiac, Dan Bale of Dowagiac and Rodney (Latasha Collins) Bale III of Dowagiac; grandchildren, Matthew Best, Michael Best, Joshua Bale, Jonathan LaPointe, Jared LaPointe and Joshua LaPointe, Kaylee Souchek, Elizabeth (Ellie) Bale, Brandon and Braxton Bale; two great- grandchildren; sister Sue, (Matt) Kantauskas of White Pigeon; and faithful dog, Chewey.Rodney passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2011, at Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital.He is preceded in death by his son, Steve Bale, in 1983 and daughter-in-law, Sherry Bale, in 2009.A private Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a later date.Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to the Cass County Humane Society.Yazel and Clark Chapel is serving the family.Please sign his guestbook and leave a memory of Rodney at www.yazel-clark.com.
