Frances Marie Wilson

Fran's life began on April 8, 1937 in Dowagiac, the daughter of Joseph and Teresa (Verbanic) Sedlar. She was a 1955 graduate of Dowagiac Central High School. Fran worked as the deli manager for Demond's Grocery and worked for Village Markets (Felpaush) for several years and for Kroger Stores. She loved to garden and had nearly every flower imaginable in her yard, she enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting. Fran enjoyed travelling and would occasionally visit the casino. She was united in marriage on March 10, 1999 to Donald Wilson in Las Vegas, NV. Her loving family includes her husband Don of Niles, children Kevin (Doreen) Murphy of Cassopolis, Karla (Jan) Arndt of Dowagiac, Patrick Murphy of Niles, and Randall Murphy of Syracuse, IN, step children Lynn (Paul) Gaylor of Sister Lakes, Lee Ann (Ed) Toy of Dowagiac, Thom ( Linda) Wilson of Elkhart, Todd (Robin) Wilson of Sister Lakes, and Angel Sundman of Dowagiac, eight grandchildren and 11 step grandchildren, three great grandchildren and six step great grandchildren, sisters Dorothy Smouse of Dowagiac and Mary (Tom) Balla of Arizona. Fran passed away on Thursday March 10, 2011 at her home. She is preceded in death by sisters Ruth Martin, Gertrude Harrier, and Elizabeth Pierman and brothers Bill, Joe, Robert and Ted Sedlar. Her family will gather with friends on Saturday from 1- 3p.m. at Yazel & Clark Chapel. Fran's cremains are to be scattered on the family property near Dowagiac at a later date.
