Thomas's Obituary
Thomas' life began on March 18, 1940 in Clarksdale, MS, the son of Thomas Young House, Sr and Nehoma (Jones) House. He attended school at Lilbourn High School in Lilbourn, MO. Thomas worked for the Lewis Cass ISD as a driver from 2002 until he passed away. He loved to fish, go hunting, play cards and visit the casinos. Thomas never met a stranger. He is a member of Chain Lake Missionary Baptist Church. Thomas was united in marriage to Levater Smith-House on October 14, 1995 in Niles. His loving family includes his wife Levater of Dowagiac, children Undray (Erica) House of Elkhart, IN, Timothy Williams of Dowagiac, Sandra Kay Anderson of Grand Rapids, Tynia House of Nashville, TN, Falandra Wilson of Robersonville, MS, Harold Wallace of Benton Harbor, Tony House of Nashville, TN, Terry House of Arlington Heights, IL, Thomas Keith House of Chicago, Thomas House of Indianapolis, Shanelle (Roy) Killines of Posen, IL, Lois (Stevie) Mason of Elkhart, IN, Jeano (Kyle) Solloway of Niles, and Tara D. Smith of Dowagiac, brothers and sisters Clemon ( Mary ) House of Dowagiac, Henry (Ora) House of Elkhart, IN , Arlin (Zellie) House of Dowagiac, Annie Pearl Garner of Elkhart, IN , Henrietta (Charles) Stewart of Cassopolis, Mary (Jesse) Jackson of Elkhart, IN, Pearl (Harold) Williams of Elkhart, IN, sister in laws Annie Ruth House of Crestview, FL, Callie Mae House of Chicago, and Ruth House of Elkhart, IN, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Thomas passed away on Thursday January 27, 2011 at his home surrounded by family. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Robert House, Sr, James Rolland, Anthony House, Horace “Repete†House and LeRoy House, sisters Ruth McKnight, Nehoma Warr and Sally Greenwood, son Kirby House, daughters Regina House and Marilyn Beasley. His family will gather with friends on Friday from 11- 12 noon at the Apostolic Lighthouse Church (M62 West-Dowagiac) where his funeral service will be held at 12 noon led by Reverend Nathaniel Pollard. He will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to the family in care of Levater. Yazel & Clark Chapel is serving the family.
