Ruth's Obituary
Elaine's life began on November 17, 1918 in Watseka, IL, the daughter of Mont and Leora (Ward) Miner. She was a graduate of County Normal School in Dowagiac and taught in one room schools in the area. Elaine taught students in the Cullinane School in Dowagiac and at the Thompson School in Niles. She attended Trinity Episcopal Church in Niles. Elaine also worked as a secretary for Kaiser-Frasier in Dowagiac, General Telephone Co, and was the co-owner of The Johnny's Shop in Dowagiac. She was united in marriage to John Blow on May 7, 1950 in Niles and John preceded her in death in 1986. She is survived by several cousins and many good friends. Elaine passed away on Friday January 7, 2011 at the Willows in St. Joseph. A private family graveside is being planned for the spring at Riverside Cemetery in Dowagiac.
