Daniel's Obituary
Daniel's life began on January 11, 1974 in St. Joseph, the son of Patrick Pitcher and Deborah Getz Young. He was a 1992 graduate of Lakeshore High School and soon after graduation, joined the United States Marine Corps. Daniel served his country from 1992-2000. He was the co-owner of Axis Survey and Mapping in Kirkland, WA. Daniel loved the outdoors, hiking and camping in the forest and mountains that surrounded him, his beat up old truck, was quite the video game player, and loved his dogs, cats and even an iguana. He also had a large toy collection he prized, particularly his Star War toys, and loved being a Surveyor, as this gave him more time to spend outdoors which is where heloved to be. He was an honorable man who loved his family and friends with all his heart and would be there for you always. Daniel's loving family includes mother Deborah (Michael) Getz-Young of Camp Verde, AZ, his father Patrick (Kathryn) Pitcher of Sister Lakes, sister Rachel Pitcher of Sister Lakes, brother Aaron Pitcher of East Lansing, significant other Jennifer Haugen of Everett, WA, his paternal grandparents Jack and Marilyn Pitcher of Sister Lakes and several aunts, uncles, many cousins, his extended family and friends at Axis Survey & Mapping, Kirkland,Wa. and his four–legged babies Ani, Leica, and Muddy. Daniel passed away on Thursday January 6, 2011 at his home. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents George and Helen Getz. Daniel's family will gather with friends on Friday from 5-8 p.m. at Yazel & Clark Chapel where his funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday led by Deacon Frank Wesolowski of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church. He will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart of Mary Cemetery.
