William Nowak

William's life began on December 12, 1922 in Osceola, IN, the son of Joseph and Mary (Namaslovski) Nowak. He was united in marriage to Doris E. Apted on June 22, 1947 in Mishawaka. He had been employed by Kaiser-Frasier, Goerlich's and Bendix Corporation, where he worked for 23 years. In his young adult years he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved the outdoors and animals. His loving family includes his son Gary (Brenda Haight) Nowak of Dowagiac, sister Pearl Forcier of South Bend, and brother Walter (Pat) Nowak of Mishawaka. William passed away on Wednesday December 29, 2010 at River Ridge Manor in Niles. He is preceded in death by his wife Doris in 2008. His family will gather with friends on Monday from 5-8 p.m. at Yazel & Clark Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Holy Maternity of Mary Catholic Church by Father Kevin Covert and Father Leo Taubitz. He will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery following the Mass. Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
