Daniel Shivers

Daniel's life began on October 14, 1980 in Dowagiac, the son of Gonzalez and Donna (Watts) Shivers. He was a graduate of Dowagiac Union High School and was employed by House Works in South Bend. Daniel was an amateur boxer and trained at Swan's Boxing School in Dowagiac. He was an easy going, respectful and pleasant young man to be around. He liked to paint and draw and to work on his computer. He is survived by his loving family which includes his father Gonzalez (Step mother Veronica Joy) Shivers of Dowagiac, brother John Shivers of Niles, paternal grandparents Rev. Morgan and Marie Shivers of Dowagiac, maternal grandparents John and Rita Holloway of Dowagiac, special relation Audrey Jackson and Sharnice Perkins and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Daniel passed away on Saturday November 27, 2010 in South Bend. He is preceded in death by his mother Donna Shivers in 1982. His family will receive friends on Friday from 1 – 3 p.m. at Yazel & Clark Chapel where his funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. led by Pastor Tonnie Blackamore of Kingdom Covenant Church. He will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery, Dowagiac following the service. Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to the family.
