DOWAGIAC – Jeffrey R. Scelzo, 68, of Dowagiac, MI passed away Saturday, November 27, 2010 at his home. He was born November 30, 1941 in Mt. Vernon, N.Y. to the late Fredrick and Gladys Scelzo. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Christine, and their three children. Tony Scelzo of Indianapolis with special friend Nikki Lewallen, Deanna Scelzo and her husband Adam Reeves of South Bend, and Teresa Burling and her husband Ben Burling of Columbia Falls, MT. Three granddaughters – Emmi and Sophia Scelzo and Ryder Burling. Brother Fred (Donna) Scelzo of Colorado Springs, CO and sister Cathy Swaney of Granger, IN. and numerous nieces and nephewsJeff worked for Tyler Refrigeration for 20 years, co-managed Kugler's Beach in Niles for 5 years, and was a successful small business owner in Niles for the last 20 years. Jeff was grateful to have been blessed with a family who enjoyed his company, two son-in-laws he considered his sons, and a life that didn't contain too many dull moments. His biggest joy came from a little voice saying Hi PawPaw. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ChildFund International.
