Charles's Obituary

Charles life began on April 21, 1924 in Chicago, the son of Charles Keller Price, Sr. and Isadore Brelsford Price. He served his country in the United States Army 8th Aircorps, 365 Bomb Group. He served his country from Normandy, Italy and Germany, earning a Silver Star and a Bronze Star. He was a 1942 graduate of Dowagiac Central High School and a 1950 graduate of the University of Illinois. He was united in marriage to Mary E. Vandenburg on June 21, 1947 in Dowagiac. Charles was a registered architect in Detroit and South Bend, having designed several schools in the area. He enjoyed wood carving and attending his wood carving club. His loving family includes his wife Mary Price of Cassopolis, sons Jerome (Dorothy) Price of Cassopolis, Doug (Hyongmi) Price of Canton, MI, daughter Caroline Price of Boulder, CO, two grandchildren John Price and Brian Sherman and several nieces and nephews. Charles passed away at his home on Wednesday November 10, 2010. He is preceded in death by his sister Barbara Deuel. His family will gather with friends on Saturday December 4, 2010 at Yazel & Clark Chapel for a memorial service at 1 p.m. He will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery at a later date.
