Robert's Obituary

Bob's life began July 27, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Raymond and Lenora (Kramer) Sines. He was a graduate of Leo High School in Chicago, Illinois and attended DePaul University for 2 years, also in Chicago He began his working career at the age of 16 as a part time employee at Spic & Span Grocery Store which later evolved into a meat processing company known as Mayhew Meats Arturo's Products famous for their roast beef & sausage. Bob grew with the company and became a valued employee and integral part of the business. He retired in 1982 and moved to Sister Lakes, Michigan to live and take care of his elderly parents. During his early retirement years he worked part time for a number of years as a bartender at Ade's Glass Tap Restaurant. Bob was an avid bowler his entire life and bowled in leagues in Illinois and Michigan as well as numerous tournaments. In his latter years you would see Bob all over the Sister Lakes area on his bicycle from Memorial Day thru Labor Day where he worked on and reached his goal of cycling 2,000 miles in that time frame. He was also an avid fisherman during the spring thru fall season. Bob enjoyed people and had a gift for bringing people together. He had his morning breakfast group who met at local restaurants regularly, the Friday group at Lutz's Restaurant, his weekday and weekend friends all of whom were enriched by his loving & humorous personality. He was a regular usher at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Bob passed away at Lakeland Hospital on Sunday, October 3, 2010. He is preceded in death by his parents leaving is sister Shirley McDade (nee Sines) and brother-in –law Robert and a multitude of friends. His Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. He will be laid to rest at Keeler Cemetery with his parents Raymond & Lenora.
