Lola's Obituary
Lola's life began on April 19, 1918 in Filion, MI, the daughter of Herbert and Laura (Horton) Toner. She was college educated as a nurse and worked in health care for her entire career. Lola was united in marriage to Doyle S. Hall on November 30, 1940 in Filion and they enjoyed 58 years of marriage. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Zephyrhills, FL and a former member of the Filion Baptist Church. Her loving family includes her sons Robert (Kathy) Hall of Dowagiac, and Gary Hall of Port Austin, MI, grandchildren Carman (Jonathan) Wildes of Cassopolis, and Chris (Missy) Hall of Dowagiac, great grandchildren Josiah, Victoria, Olivia, Kristina, and Hannah Wildes, Christian, Jackson, Laura and Zachary Hall and several nieces and nephews. Lola passed away on June 3, 2010 at Lakeland Specialty Care Center in Berrien Center. She is preceded in death by her husband Doyle in 1999, a son Kenneth and sisters Elda Nelson and Vera Gilbert. Her family will gather with friends on Monday from 5-8 p.m. at Yazel & Clark Chapel. Where her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. led by Reverend John Sears. She will be laid to rest in South Wayne Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to Fellowship Bible Church or to Haitian Relief.
