Cora Ann Clark

Cora's life began on August 24, 1927 in Dowagiac, the daughter of William Franklin and Sarah Ann (Starrett) Pohlmann. She was a graduate of Dowagiac Central High School. Cora was united in marriage to Billy Berkley Clark on June 30, 1949 in Watervliet. She worked as a telephone operator in Coloma for several years. Cora was a member of the North Berrien Historical Society. Her family includes grandchildren Timothy Engle of Niles, Heather Williams of Niles, and Emily Williams of Martinsville, IN, sisters Dorothy Bemus of Arizona and Henrietta Lace of Dowagiac, and her niece and caregiver Sarah Beebe of Dowagiac. Cora passed away on Saturday March 20, 2010 at her home. She is preceded in death by her husband Billy Clark, daughter Treva Marie Williams, sister Viola Pohlmann, and brothers Leo and Floyd Pohlmann. Her memorial service will be held on Saturday March 27, 2010 at 3 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church in Coloma. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at Coloma Cemetery at a later date. Yazel & Clark Chapel is serving the family.
